Day 1: Athens

  • Arrival & Transfer to the hotel by private deluxe bus
  • Welcome Dinner in a Greek gourmet restaurant including transfers
  • Overnight

 

Day 2: Athens

Athens – The Acropolis, Acropolis Museum, The change of Guards, Mikrolimano
  • Buffet Breakfast
  • Athens City Tour including the Acropolis & the New Acropolis Museum
  • Free time for Lunch in Plaka
  • Visti one of the hospitals in Athens
  • Meetings with a doctor and a nurse who will explain the private &publi medical system in Greece
  • Return to the Hotel
  • Free time
  • Departure for a food experience in Mikrolimano (Piraeus), including sea food
  • Return to the Hotel & overnight

 

Day 3: Athens

Monastiraki (Flea Market), Loukoumades, Greek coffee, Cooking Classes, Ermou Street, Souvlaki
  • Buffet Breakfast
  • Cooking lesson at a well – known tavern in Athens, including transfer
  • Walking tour in Athens to the Central meat, fish & fruit market
  • Loukoumades (the typical Greek honey soaked doughnuts) tasting
  • Greek Coffee in Monastiraki (the famous Greek Flea Market) or Psyrri (the boheme area of Athens)
  • Return to the taverna in Plaka o enjoy the meal we prepared earlier
  • Free time to stroll around Athens & discover hidden corners of the city or do some shopping in Ermou Street & in Plaka area
  • Souvlaki Dinner at a famous typical restaurant in Monastiraki
  • Transfer to the Hotel & overnight

 

Day 4: Delphi

Delphi – Apollo Oracle & the Museum
  • Buffet Breakfast
  • Departure to Delphi
  • Visit to the Archaeological site & the museum
  • Departure to olive oil tasting & pick-nick under the olive trees in the olive groove o0f Delphi with 1.500.00 olive trees approx.
  • Olives, feta cheese & spinach pie tasting as well as home made cheese pies and Greek salad
  • Departure towards Itea.  Check-in at the Hotel there.
  • In groups, we will be hosted by different Greek families to spend time & have dinner with them at their houses.  Food tasting with meals prepared by moms & grand  mothers, especially made for us
  • Transfer to the Hotel and Overnight

 

Olympia & Nafplion

Day 5: Olympia

  • Buffet Breakfast
  • Departure to Olympia
  • Crossing of the Millenium Bridge between Rion – Antirrion
  • Arrival at Olymia & visit to the Archaeological Site & Museum
  • Free time for Lunch
  • Departure to Nauplion
  • Dinner in one of the traditional restaurants in the old city of Nauplion
  • Return to the hotel & Overnight

 

Day 6: Corinth Canal – Nemea -Nafplion

Nemea, Corinth Canal & Nauplion
  • Buffet Breakfast
  • Departure to Corinth Canal
  • Canal Crossing Cruise
  • Return to Corinth
  • Departure toweards Nemea
  • Visit to the the Archaeological site & MUseum as well as the stadium
  • Wine tasting & Lunch in a winery with home made meal
  • Return to Nauplion, Greek coffe & stroll around the city
  • Dinner at a restaurant in a tavern in Nauplion
  • Return to the Hotel & Overnight

 

Epidavros & Mycenae

Day 7: Epidaurus – Mycenae – Athens

  • Buffet Breakfast
  • Departure to visit Epidaurus & Mycenae
  • Visit to a citrus farm in the area
  • Lunch at Mycenae
  • Arrival in Athens
  • Dinner at a typical restaurant in Gazi / Psirri area (the boheme areas of the city)
  • Transfer to the Hotel & Overnight

 

One Day Cruise (Poros – Hydra & Aegina islands)

Day 8: Athens – Cruise around the Saronic Gulf

  • Buffet Breakfast
  • One Day Cruise to 3 of the most beautriful islands of the Saronic Gulf (Poros – Hydra & Aegina), including lunch on board
  • Return to Athens
  • Dinner in Athens.  We will taste home made meal in a typical Greek restaurant
  • Return to the Hotel & Overnight
